Without question, Ty Cobb was the greatest ball player of his era, with his aggressive playing style and skilled batting abilities. He was featured in a multitude of advertisements and premium pieces throughout his playing career. Some of the more notable items featuring his likeness were the tobacco cards of the early 1900s. This T205 is a shining example of Cobb at the start of his Hall of Fame career. This particular card is SGC graded 50 VG/EX (4). This card, with Cobb's portrait in the center of the red diamond with the green surround and gold border, is a solid hit for all tobacco card fans, and is an exciting start to the auction.
