Lot of two non-sports sets, including 1959 Topps Funny Valentine set and 1961 Donruss Idiot card set. The 1959 Topps Funny Valentines releases look like the perfect Valentine card until you turn the cards over and see the gage jokes and sarcasm. The artworkwas done by cartoon artist legend Jack Davis. Donruss' 1961 Idiot card were the fist card product by Donruss ever made. They then focussed on non-sports cards in the 1960s through 1970s before issuing baseball cards in 1981. SImilar to the 1959 Topps Funny Valentine cards, Donruss Idiot card fronts show joke setups, while card backs provide the punch lines. These are two awesome early non-sports sets in one lot. Many colelctors see these sets as the inspiration for wacky packages cards. Most cards in these sets range from VG to EX+ with jusy a couple card showing some water damage.
