Lot of (4) Vintage Autographs w. Sgt. Alvin York & Grossadmiral Karl Donitz. Sargent York was one of the most decorated WWI soldiers, receiving a Medal of Honor for his role in a German attack, a feat that made him a national hero. His heroic actions also earned him decorations from other allied countries, including France & Italy. Donitz was a German leader, named President of Germany for a brief time following the death of Adolf Hitler. He was convicted in the Nuremberg trials in 1946 of war crimes committed during WWII, and served 10 years in military prison.
