This lot features a RARE vintage (circa 1916-21) Louisville Slugger Hillerich & Bradsby Co. model 40 TS Tris Speaker signature store model decal bat. Speaker is a member of baseball's elite 3,000 Hit Club with 3,514 career safeties. The bat is uncracked, measures ~34 inches and weighs ~40 ounces. Speaker was one of the all time greats playing from 1907-1928 and logging a career batting average of .345. Early 1900s decal bats of Hall of Famers are very highly desirable.
