Beautiful single signed baseball of Roberto Clemente signed on the sweet spot with no personalization! This Spaulding Official National League Baseball (Charles Feeney commissioner) was signed on the sweet spot by Clemente in blue ball point pen and is inscribed "Best Wishes - Roberto Clemente". There is some light toning on the ball but overall the appearance is one of the best single signed baseballs we have ever seen. This lot includes a full JSA Letter of Authenticity. Amazing opportunity to own a single signed Clemente ball -signed on the sweet spot of an ONL baseball! The baseball was consigned by the original owner who obtained the baseball directly at the age of 5 years old from Clemente after a game in the Pirates Locker room. The consignor's uncle worked for the Pirates and was able to get him access with his grandmother to the Pirates locker room. Since the consignor's grandmother was from Spain, she spoke to Clemente in Spanish and was able to ask him in Spanish to sign the ball for the young boy. Obtaining a Clemente single-signed baseball without personalization, signed on the sweet spot on an Official National League baseball is VERY RARE! Good luck bidding on this awesome item!
