1887 N28 Allen & Ginter John L. Sullivan Boxing Card. Sullivan was considered the first true heavyweight boxing champion of the world, hence the popularity & collectability of his cards. This particular Allen & Ginter example certainly is included in this high desirability status! This card presents with a horizontal wrinkle across the center of the card, but it is not visible on the back of the card. The corners are rounded, there is some tape residue on the back of the card at the top & bottom, and there is some staining due to the age of the card. The front presents very noble, with good color and clarity, as Sullivan looks boldly to the left, maybe at his next opponent! The back is completely readable, even with the present discoloration.
