Lot of (10) 1956 PM15 Yellow Basepath Pins w. Al Kaline & Minnie Minoso. Additional players include Robin Roberts, Richie Ashburn, (2) Gil Hodges, Eddie Mathews, Ted Kluszewski, & (2) Ted Greengrass pins. Designated as a PM 15 pin by the American Card Catalog, the Yellow Basepaths pins measure 7/8 inches. The buttons were made to be inserted into plastic capsules, to be dispensed in gumball vending machines for a penny in 1956. Back in the 1950's, vending machine suppliers did not secure licenses for the use of images. Each pin features a black-and-white head shot of a star baseball player of the day, which is centered within the "yellow basepath" infield. Each of the 32 players depicted in the set has his name in script just above home plate.
