Lot of (2) Official Charles O. Finley orange baseballs in their original boxes. Each ball comes in their original box. One of the boxes is sealed, and the other is opened on the bottom. Charles O. Finley, the owner of the Kansas City and Oakland Athletics, famously experimented with orange baseballs in 1963, proposing the change to make the ball easier to see for players and fans. While he initially suggested the idea a decade before its implementation, he eventually convinced the American League and Indians officials to use orange baseballs in a spring training game in 1973. The experiment, however, was short-lived, as players found it difficult to see the seams on the orange ball, making it harder to track the spin.
